History of Pickelball
Pickleball is becoming increasingly popular in France! This sport, which originated on the American continent, is played in doubles or singles on the entire Pickleball court. Pickleball was invented in 1965 in Washington State by US Senator Joel Pritchard and two of his friends. Joel Pritchard was a member of the United States Congress. The game was created on Bainbridge Island, Washington, at Joel Pritchard's summer home. Opponents on either side of the net pass the ball back and forth until one of them commits a foul. Pickleball combines elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis.

Pickleball rackets are lightweight and easy to handle, and are larger than table tennis rackets. Their combined dimensions (width + length) should not exceed 61 cm, with a typical height of 40 cm and width of 20 cm.
